Storage / Isolation / Safety
The right cabinet
for the right risk.
Laboratory storage is not one product. Base cabinets, wall cabinets, reagent cabinets, acid and alkali cabinets, flammable safety cabinets and gas cylinder cabinets each answer a different combination of material, ventilation, isolation and safety requirements. Selection follows the chemicals, quantities and local standards on your project.

01 / Series
One system. Different duties.
Each series below is a distinct cabinet family. Follow a series to see the products available under it.
Laboratory Base Cabinets
Laboratory cabinets installed beneath worktops or used as floor-standing storage units.
View productsLaboratory Chemical/ Reagent Storage Cabinets
Cabinets for organized storage of general reagents or chemicals; not a substitute for flammable, acid and alkali, or gas cylinder cabinets.
View productsLaboratory Acid and Alkali Storage Cabinets
Dedicated cabinets for segregated storage of acids and alkalis.
View productsLaboratory Flammable Safety Cabinets
Safety cabinets for flammable-liquid storage, subject to the standards applicable to each project.
View productsLaboratory Gas Cylinder Storage Cabinets
Dedicated cabinets for securing, segregating and, where required, ventilating laboratory gas cylinders.
View productsLaboratory Storage Cabinets
General laboratory storage and risk-specific storage cabinets. Hazardous-material cabinets must not be treated as interchangeable general cabinets.

What separates the series.
Four questions decide which cabinet family fits: the material, the ventilation, the isolation and the safety limits.
Material
Steel, PP, stainless or wood are chosen against the chemicals, humidity and loads the cabinet must resist.
Ventilation
Reagent and chemical cabinets may require exhaust connection to remove vapours from the storage space.
Isolation
Acids, alkalis, flammables and gas cylinders must be separated from each other and from incompatible stock.
Safety limits
Quantity limits, fire ratings and local regulations set the boundary for what each cabinet may hold.
03 / Purpose
Each family, its own job.
Storage cabinets are not interchangeable. Reading the purpose of each family prevents the most common mistake: storing the right material in the wrong cabinet.
| Family | Primary purpose | Typical focus |
|---|---|---|
| Base cabinets | General storage under benches for tools and non-hazardous items. | Load |
| Wall / upper cabinets | Overhead storage for light items, glassware and documentation. | Reach |
| Chemical / reagent cabinets | Ordered storage of reagents, with optional exhaust for vapours. | Vent |
| Acid / alkali cabinets | Corrosion-resistant storage isolating acids from alkalis. | Isolate |
| Flammable safety cabinets | Fire-rated containment for flammable liquids within limits. | Fire |
| Gas cylinder cabinets | Secured, ventilated housing for pressurised gas cylinders. | Secure |
Standards decide the boundary
Applicable requirements depend on the project location and the standards named in the tender, such as local building, fire and occupational safety regulations. Final material, ventilation and quantity limits must be confirmed against the standards that govern your site. We do not make final local compliance decisions on your behalf.
