Support / FAQ
FAQ
Answers to common questions about laboratory planning, products, ordering, delivery and after-sales support.
Qualification
Who do you work with?
We work with overseas laboratory contractors, professional distributors and importers, and end users with a defined laboratory project.
What information do you need to start?
Please share your company details, project role, country and city, laboratory type, required scope, layout or dimensions, project stage, and expected purchasing date. Site measurements and local requirements must be provided and verified by you or your local contractor.
Free Design
Is laboratory design free?
Pre-order design is free for qualified customers with a verified project. For a standard project, the first proposal is normally provided within two working days after requirements are confirmed. Complex projects follow an agreed schedule.
Can I request design revisions?
Yes. Pre-order design currently includes revisions without a fixed revision limit. We develop the layout first, followed by elevations, 3D views and the required system layouts after your confirmation.
Drawings
Which drawings will I receive before placing an order?
Before an order, we provide watermarked PDFs and renderings for project review. These documents are not for production, construction or transfer to other suppliers.
Will you provide CAD files?
Final PDFs are provided after ordering. Where CAD is necessary for construction coordination, a coordination version may be provided after payment status and intended use are confirmed. Full source files are not included.
Products & MOQ
What products and materials can you supply?
Our scope includes laboratory benches, fume hoods, storage cabinets, balance tables, stools, chairs, laboratory fittings and safety equipment. Furniture options include wood, steel-and-wood, all-steel, polypropylene (PP) and stainless steel. Related ventilation, gas, water and electrical materials can be coordinated within the agreed scope.
What is your minimum order?
The minimum order value for furniture or engineering supply is USD 1,000. Standard accessories require at least five units per SKU with the same model, specification and colour. Any exception requires separate approval.
Samples
Can I request free samples?
Verified customers with an active or developing project may apply for free samples, subject to approval. Please specify the item, intended use and delivery destination.
Who pays sample freight?
For approved small samples sent by ordinary courier, we cover the freight. For larger samples requiring a crate, pallet or dedicated freight service, the customer pays the freight. Approval and shipping arrangements are confirmed before dispatch.
Quotation
When will I receive a quotation?
We issue a consolidated quotation after all design details are confirmed. Standard projects are normally quoted within two working days of design finalisation. We do not provide preliminary budget quotations.
How long is a quotation valid?
Our standard quotation validity is 30 days. Before quoting, we confirm the trade term, currency, installation option, special documentation or certification requirements, and any third-party inspection.
Trade Terms
Which trade terms are available?
EXW, FOB, CIF and other agreed terms can be considered. The chosen term is confirmed before pricing. DDP or other delivery arrangements are assessed individually against destination clearance and delivery capabilities.
What does the quotation include?
The quotation identifies the products, specifications, quantities, currency, trade term, payment schedule, production period and validity, along with the agreed packaging, transport, installation, warranty and exclusions. Please refer to the confirmed quotation and pro forma invoice for your project scope.
Payment
What are your standard payment terms?
The standard arrangement is T/T with a 30% deposit and the remaining 70% paid before shipment. Any alternative arrangement requires approval and written confirmation.
Which currencies do you accept?
We mainly quote and receive payment in US dollars. Euros and British pounds can also be accepted. The currency and payment details are confirmed in the pro forma invoice.
Production
How long does production take?
Typical production is 7–10 working days for small orders and 15–20 working days for large orders of two to three or more 40-foot containers. Timing starts on the next working day after the deposit is received and all production information is confirmed. The pro forma invoice specifies the agreed lead time.
Do you manufacture everything in your own factory?
We coordinate production through partner suppliers rather than an owned factory. Work may be allocated by product category and capability. We manage design coordination, specifications, quality inspection, export and after-sales support.
Inspection
How are products inspected?
Partner suppliers carry out their own checks, followed by our consolidated inspection. Standard products are sampled; custom products are checked individually. We check products, quantities, drawing versions, colours, labels and interfaces.
Can I arrange a third-party inspection?
Yes. Customer or third-party inspection can be arranged before packaging. The initial inspection cost is paid by the customer. If a failure is our or our supplier’s responsibility, we cover rectification and reasonable reinspection costs.
Shipping
What documents are supplied with the shipment?
Standard documents include the commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading or waybill, product and packaging lists, and installation information. Certificates of origin, fumigation documents or other destination documents should be agreed before ordering.
How should I report missing items or shipping damage?
Report shortages or visible transport damage within seven calendar days of delivery or unpacking. Include the project reference and photos of the container, packaging, labels and affected items so the issue can be reviewed.
Installation
What installation support can I choose?
Three options are available: overseas demonstration and guidance for your local workers; free trial assembly in China with photos or video before disassembly and shipping; or installation drawings without trial assembly. Confirm your choice before quotation.
Who handles local construction and installation costs?
Your local team handles site measurements, local code review, approvals, construction and final acceptance. For overseas guidance, the customer covers visas, travel, accommodation, meals, local transport, necessary insurance and daily service fees. We do not undertake overseas site measurement or local general contracting.
Certifications
Which certifications are available?
Guangzhou Yuchuang holds ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications. Its CE documentation covers laboratory benches and fume hoods only. Partner-supplier SEFA 8 documentation covers steel laboratory base cabinets and wall cabinets only.
Does one certificate cover every product in my project?
No. Documentation must be checked against the certificate holder, product category and agreed project requirements. Share your required standards before quotation so the applicable scope can be reviewed.
Warranty
What warranty periods apply?
All-steel and stainless-steel furniture has a five-year warranty. Wood, steel-and-wood and PP furniture has a three-year warranty. Purchased components follow the manufacturer’s period stated in the quotation or pro forma invoice.
When does the warranty start, and what is excluded?
The warranty starts at installation acceptance, no later than 90 days after arrival at the destination port. If a product quality issue prevents acceptance, it starts after resolution and acceptance. Exclusions include improper installation or use, unauthorised changes, use outside agreed conditions, transport or handling damage, normal wear, consumables, force majeure and improper storage.
After-Sales
How do I request after-sales support?
Send your order or project reference, product identifier, a description of the problem and when it was found, photos or video, and relevant installation or usage records. We acknowledge the request within one working day and provide an initial assessment and proposal within three working days. For complex cases, we explain the delay and the next response date.
Who pays for replacement parts and freight?
For issues that are our or our supplier’s responsibility, we provide repair, replacement or missing parts free of charge and cover international replacement freight. Paid support may be available for issues outside warranty coverage.
